CEREC Tooth Restoration
Cosmetic dentist serving in Owasso, OK
The CEREC 3D system is a new procedure for custom-milling inlays, onlays, crowns and veneers. The CEREC 3D incorporates imaging and software components. This system enables Oklahoma cosmetic dentist, Dr. Lim to view, manipulate, change, and verify the design of your restoration's design before it is milled. This allows Dr. Lim to create tooth restoration implantations that are a perfect fit for your mouth.
During the first step in the CEREC 3D procedure, a camera is used to create an image of your tooth. CEREC 3D software converts this picture into a 3-dimensional model. Cosmetic dentist Dr. Lim then adjusts the design of your cosmetic inlay, only, or porcelain veneer to match the shape, size and contours of your teeth.
After this model is complete, a milling machine creates your ceramic tooth restoration. Dr. Lim then adjusts the restoration to ensure proper fit and bite. With the bonding techniques and the precision of the CEREC 3D system, minimal amounts of tooth structure are removed.
Impressions are not necessary and CEREC 3D requires only one appointment. CEREC materials are designed to match the exact shade of your teeth. CEREC restorations are composed of material nearly identical to natural dental enamel.
