What is maintenance therapy?

How often do I need maintenance therapy?
Dr. Lim will recommend a unique maintenance therapy schedule based on your personal progress. The length of time between visits may continue to increase as signs of bacteria and plaque build-up diminish. Great home care can also do wonders to control your periodontal disease.
What can be done to improve the look of my "gummy" smile?
If you feel you have excessive gum tissue, especially after periodontal treatment to reduce infection, you may want to consider the crown lengthening procedure. Dr. Lim can use the Diode laser to reveal more of your enamel and resculpt your gum line to show off your healthy teeth.
Is there a procedure to improve the appearance of my receding gums?

Will insurance cover periodontal procedures?
You will need to check your individual or work dental health plan, or have one of our office assistants go over the plan with you. Because your periodontal health can affect your overall general health, many plans provide coverage for a portion of periodontal treatment.
