I have endured migraine headaches on an average of one or more a week. My Doctor would prescribe medication for me. On a particular incidence, I had a headache for 2 years, with it being intense for six months. I expressed to the Doctor that I had a migraine, he prescribed pills.
Sleep apnea was also a big problem for me. My Doctor prescribed a C-pap breathing machine. I couldn't wear it, but now after receiving treatment from Doctor Lim, I can wear it all night long. Now I have more energy than I ever had before treatment. I experienced pain which could be excruciating at times in my shoulder, now it's gone. Fixing my bite was definitely the answer for my migraines, and going to work is so much easier and more comfortable than it ever was.

I have had headaches that were mainly centered around my jaw. In the past few years I started having neck pain and discovered a knot in my left shoulder that caused pain and numbness down my arm and fingers. I took pain relievers and muscle relaxers as well as having deep tissue massages to alleviate the tension in my neck and shoulders, thinking this would take care of my headaches, but they only persisted and never got any better. I finally decided to resort to having an MRI and nerve conduction study done. In the meantime, I had seen Dr. Lim for my 6 month checkup. I had a terrible headache that day and Dr. Lim saw on my x-ray that my bite was not right. He suggested to wear an orthotic appliance for a while to see if that offered me any relief. I can now say I have no more neck and shoulder pain or numbness in my fingers and most importantly, no more headaches thanks to Dr. Lim.

I want to take this time to thank you, Dr. Lim, and your staff for the gentle and expert dental care you gave me during the first four months of 2007. I looked forward to coming for dental treatment because you made me feel like a "person" instead of a "patient." I actually felt like part of the family. When I came to you I was in a great deal of pain from Tempro-mandibular Joint Dysfunction and from pain throughout my body. It had gotten to the point that I was unable to walk even 50 feet without pain in my legs and feet. Now I can walk for blocks without pain. I had no idea that teeth and their occlusion were so important. Also, you were able to save and restore my teeth which had broken and cracked from all the years of grinding and clenching. Now I have a reason to smile because I have beautiful teeth. My teeth are better now than they ever were. My name is Misty. I'm 29 years old. I've been working in the dental field for 6 years. I thought I knew what there was to know about teeth. We should have them cleaned twice a year and fix what's broken. Is that really everything? For several years I've been dealing with pain from tension headaches, constant pain and knots in my neck, dizziness, and many sleepless nights. Basically, for me, it's been all over body pain.
I recently had the honor of attending classes at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies with my other team members, thanks to Dr. Lim and the continued education he has pursued.
I knew before, from a health stand point, having a healthy clean mouth is very important.
I now am able to learn and understand, through "hands-on" experience as I assist Dr. Lim how the teeth and our bite can cause so many parts of our body to hurt. I also, now understand why I have pain.

Thank you so much for helping me manage my pain. For years I have gone to a Chiropractor for regular adjustments. However, the last year, my Chiropractor could not figure out why I was not adjusting. As you can imagine, the pain was increasing throughout my head,neck, shoulders and upper back and the range of motion in my neck was decreasing. Having a massage therapist work on my neck and back was the only thing that brought temporary relief of the excruciating pain.
The first time you worked on aligning my bite, I walked out of your office feeling like I was finally out from under a dark cloud. Fifty percent of my pain was immediately gone. I look forward to more of the pain receding and allowing myself to get back to not only exercising, but also more physical activity.

In mid February of 2006, I suffered from an ear ache that would not go away. I had been battling with headaches off and on for several months prior to the ear ache. I just thought that I had sinus trouble.
On March 1st I went to my physician who told me that my problem was due to a wax build-up in my ear. That was taken care of and I thought that maybe I would get some relief. My ear became worse than ever. I had shooting pains and pressure in my ear that kept me awake most nights. This went on for a month. I came to the decision that I possibly had an infection and maybe needed to be on antibiotics, but due to my busy schedule, I put off going back to see my doctor, resulting in extreme pressure in my ears and before I knew it, my jaw had locked up. I could not close my mouth all the way. I was scared at that point. Once again, I went to the doctor and he found nothing wrong with my ears, but thought that it might need dental attention.
A friend of mine had been to see Dr. Lim, so I right away called him and was able to get in for a consultation, where after analyzing my situation, came up with a solution. He had me to wear a TMJ appliance to help align my bite, which immediately gave me relief. Within one week the pain was gone. This is just the beginning of the correction of my bite, but I highly recommend this neuromuscular procedure. It is Dr. Lim's desire to help others for a long term, not just a temporary fix. He is very knowledgeable about this and wants to learn more. He and the staff are very kind and make you feel comfortable. It's been 2 1/2 months and I am doing so much better. Thank you, Dr. Lim

I have been suffering from migraines, as well as, head and jaw pain for some time. Dizziness, clicking of the jaw, limited jaw opening, ringing of the ears are many more symptoms that I have endured.
